On this day last year, me and my friend Tony were in our way to Annapurna basecamp in Himalaya.
We talked about this trip for years, and it didn't happen until November 2019. Since then, everything changed: the old world went down, tribes started to rise, and we, ourselves, aren't the same anymore.
Our trip to Himalaya was a trip of learning, letting go, accepting, and expanding our physical and spiritual capacities.
For 14 days, we were walking up the mountains. On the trail, we met strangers who became brothers and sisters. we walked. we listened to music. We got tired. we got cold. we got awed. We shared what we had with others and the mountains shared what it had with us.
We came back from there with many fruits, and one of them was "the Barbarian Way" project. The idea was born there at the peak of Annapurna Base Camp at 4200 meters. And this fall, we launched it.
In The Barbarian Way, we incorporated our vision to life: being. Overcoming. Becoming.
We also incorporated our experiences that we gained through our previous initiatives and projects that we worked on since 2007.
The Barbarian Way is a multidimensional project that will start off with a practical program that is available for free as an eBook in both languages Arabic and English and a podcast in Arabic where we will go deeper into the approach and the program.
Later on, The Barbarian Way will create a space to everyone who is willing to let go of the old world, and willing to overcome their old self, in order to become the best versions of themselves. It’s a space where we meet to fight together, share our skills and knowledge, and most of all, create a world where we can belong and be part of.
The Barbarian Way is not the final product, and it is not a dogmatic organization. It is an approach and a way of being that offers practical tools and as well it is a learning experience on individual and collective levels.
What is happening right now in the world is an opportunity to all counter cultures and people who didn't belong to the old system to meet and rise to create the world they always dreamt of.
This is not an easy task, we are realistic towards reality and the world we live in, but we are optimistic about what we control: our actions and deeds. We are not claiming anything, we are just abandoning the old world, and we are on our way back to the wild, where all this started.
